Digital Scrapbooking

So, who has time for cutting frames and letters, gluing embellishments, and sticking them all on pretty paper anymore? Sure as heck not me. What do you do when you love scrapbooking but don't have the time to do it? You become a digital scrapbooker! I'm trying to get Tim to get PhotoShop for our computer. Until he does, I'm testing the waters with free Web sites. Here's one of the first ones I found:

Welcome to the (Blogging) World, Baby Girl!

I know, I know, I'm about 5 months late starting Lila's blog, but when you become a mom to a child with colic, you barely have time to sleep, eat or shower, much less keep up with a journal! So, yep, I'm playing the colic card. The colic nightmare finally ended when Lila turned 3 months, and she is now a happy baby for the most part … a bad sleeper, but at least she’s full of smiles and most recently laughter, which is certainly a cure for exhaustion! I can be so tired I can barely keep my eyes open, but when she smiles or laughs, I forget about the lack of sleep!

Babies are certainly one of God’s most intriguing creations. Watching her grow and learn has just been amazing, from seeing her smile for the first time, roll for the first time (which scared her to death, and she screamed like crazy) and laugh for the first time (which Tim thought was her coughing) to seeing her learn how to take her pacifier out and put it back in, how to push the animals on her refrigerator farm so they’ll make noises and how to melt Mommy’s heart so she’ll continue to rock her to sleep (babies are smart that way, wonder if that’s why she’s a terrible sleeper?).

She’s growing so quickly, and that’s exactly why I started this blog—to keep her loving family all across the world up to date on all of her fascinating milestones! Let’s all hope the next one she gets to is sleeping through the night!
